Bumarrgundi-biguurr in Gumbaynggirr language, crafted from sustainably sourced Australian timbers. Our Clapsticks come with a choice of plain timber or laser-engraved designs. As they are carefully handcrafted upon request, please allow up to 4 weeks before they are ready to be shipped. 

 

We request that you email through any names, animals, or symbols if you choose to have your clapsticks laser engraved. Text and images should be emailed to gumbaynggirrcreative@gmail.com with your name and order number as the subject.

 

Important: The images displayed are from past products. Every piece of timber is unique, and therefore the final product design will vary from the images displayed as part of this product description. Rest assured, your clapsticks will be finished to the highest quality standard, coated in an oil that is suitable to protect the timber of your choice.

  • Clapsticks or Music sticks are used to maintain rhythm with Aboriginal voice chants during ceremonies or whilst walking ancient songlines. It is an ancestral instrument that may traditionally accompany the didgeridoo. Clapsticks are often made from hardwoods and can be decorated using ochre or burned to create patterns and symbols to tell stories of the Dreamtime.
